What is Tarot?
Tarot is a remarkable tool that can help and guide us through a process of self-learning to unlock our potential, solve problems, gain insight in to the situations we find ourselves in and align with our higher self and soul purpose. It isn’t fortune telling and doesn’t predict the future. It helps us intuitively project the future based on what is happening in the present.
My Mission
My mission is to provide intuitive, ethical and professional tarot readings to help you unlock your potential and create a life that is aligned to your highest calling and soul purpose. I am committed to providing personal and professional excellence and ensuring the highest standards in every aspect of my service provision.
Code of Ethics
I will demonstrate my commitment to providing an ethical service by:
- Reading with the well-being of the client at the centre of my practice
- Setting clear personal and professional boundaries
- Conducting my practice in a transparent manner
- Having policies and procedures which hold ethics at the core of my service
- Adhering to the philosophy “Do No Harm”
Transparency:
- I am clear about what Tarot can and can’t do for you
- I will respond to all questions with honesty, integrity and compassion
- There are no hidden charges attached to my readings
- I do not read for under 18s without permission from their parents
- I have my qualifications and credentials on display
Confidentiality:
I will not divulge the request for, or the content of, a reading without the express permission of the client. All readings are held in the strictest confidence unless there is a threat of violence or danger, where the client may harm her/himself, someone else, or as required by a court of law.
- Client contact and personal details are securely stored.
- No contact or personal details about any client will be given to third parties without the express permission of the client.
Respect and Compassion:
I aim to serve the best interests of my clients by conducting my professional activities without causing harm or intending to cause harm. The well-being of my clients is of the utmost importance to me and I approach reading and providing other services to them with compassion, sensitivity and respect.
- I provide an impartial, non-judgemental service and respect and honour all my clients regardless of age, race, class, culture, gender, sexual orientation, spiritual beliefs, disability or learning ability.
- I give my full attention, listening carefully and compassionately to ensure I fully understand and appreciate my clients’ questions.
- I conduct myself in a professional manner and keep my promises and commitments, including meeting timescales and deadlines.
- I am open and honest with clients about the messages I see in the cards and won’t hide negative messages or disappointing news.
Empowerment:
My style of reading is to empower my clients by giving scenarios, options and actions they can work with to help shape their own future outcomes.
- I don’t tell fortunes. I don’t believe tarot readings predict our future in a way that is inevitable and set in stone. We all have the ability to affect the outcome of our own life utilising free will and personal responsibility.
- I provide guidance and work with clients to formulate questions that are open and ensure the client retains their power.
- A reading should be enlightening, enabling and transformational and never leave a client feeling scared or powerless. I aim to ensure a client leaves the Tarot reading with a clear picture of where they are now and a forward pathway for achieving the outcome they truly desire.
Limits and Boundaries:
- I will not provide readings that do not adhere to my Code of Ethics.
- I will respond within the time limits given.
- I do not predict winning lottery numbers, how many children you will have, when you will die, diagnose medical conditions, give legal or financial advice or answer overtly predictive questions.
- My readings are no substitute for medical, legal, or therapeutic care, nor any other professional advice for which I am not qualified. Please seek professional advice when needed.
- I will not answer questions which I consider I am not capable of answering.
- I do not read for under 18s without permission from their parents.
- There is a limit to the type of third-party readings I will provide. We can only change ourselves and our own behaviour and approach to situations; we can’t change other people. Therefore, in general I do not conduct readings about third-parties. Where a reading is about a relationship, and includes a current, past or potential partner the emphasis will be on the clients’ perspective and not that of the third party.
- I do not provide “emergency” readings and prefer at least a month between readings for a client on the same topic. My role is as a guide, and clients are ultimately responsible for their own decisions and actions, and for determining their own future path.
- I will not deliberately attempt to alarm or frighten clients, or use the reading for my own benefit.
Charges & Refunds:
- All fees are clearly stated and agreed upon before beginning the reading. There are no hidden charges, and no requirement to purchase additional products. All clients have information about the cost and length of a reading prior to purchase.
- If I do not meet the commitments set out in this Code of Ethics, or at the time of receiving the reading the client is dissatisfied with my knowledge about the cards or the manner in which the session is provided, I will refund the fee or provide a suitable alternative arrangement. This does not apply to the content of the reading which is specific to my own intuitive interpretation.
- Once a reading session is complete I am not responsible for the outcome. The client always retains free will and is responsible for choosing their own path.
